By this time you'll be a confident Zotero user and ready to produce well-formatted academic papers. It should take you no more than 2 hours to complete the course. Start typing part of a title, the last names of one or more authors, and/or a year in the dialog box. At the top of the Word document, you should see a ribbon called ‘ Add-ins ‘ and/or ‘ Zotero ‘. Click on the document where you want to insert the citation. Also, open up the Zotero Standalone program. The citation dialog is used to select items from your Zotero library, and create a citation. Open up Microsoft Word and either create a new document or open an existing one. Pressing the button brings up the citation dialog. Please note: this course covers version 5.0 of Zotero. You can begin citing with Zotero by clicking the Add/Edit Citation () button. In the Zotero Preferences pop up, click the OK button. Click the title of the style to add to your Zotero Preferences. In the Zotero Styles Repository, search for the specific style you want. In the pop up window, click the Get additional styles. In the Zotero desktop app, click the Edit menu and then Preferences. Word will be able to open the produced document. Zotero zoh-TAIR-oh is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources. go to my library, select all (ctrl+a) right-click -> Create Bibliography from selected items, select your citation style of choice and RTF as the output format. The course is also suitable for anyone who has been using Zotero for a little while, but suspects they're not taking advantage of all the features, such as color-coding tags and creating saved searches.
